秦山核电位于浙江省嘉兴市海盐县，处于华东电网负荷中心地区，隶属于中国核工业集团有限公司，是中国核电起步的地方，是中国核电的“红色根脉”和“红船”。秦山核电基地自1985年3月20日中国大陆首台核电机组开工建设以来，以振兴民族工业为己任，从无到有，从小到大，全面建成九台机组，总装机容量666万千瓦，年发电量约520亿千瓦时，是目前我国核电机组数量最多、堆型品种最丰富的核电基地，被誉为“国之光荣”。

经过30多年的建设发展，秦山核电成功走出了一条中国特色的核电发展之路，练就了一支能驾驭多堆型运行和管理的专业领域人才队伍和管理队伍；建立了15个专业技术、人才平台：其中，1个通过CMA中国计量认证，3个CNAS实验室，1个省级院士专家工作站，1个省级高新技术研发中心，1个集团工程技术研究中心和1个国家级技能大师工作室；形成了一套成熟完整的安全生产运行管理体系和支持保障体系：专利授权775 项，标准发布 85 项，荣获浙江省高新技术企业，2022年首获“中国专利优秀奖”，首获“中国标准创新贡献奖”，成为展示中国核工业二次创业和中国核电事业安全发展、创新发展的“重要窗口”。

Qinshan Nuclear Power Base, locating in the load center of East China Power Grid, owned by China National Nuclear Corporation, is the birthplace of the nuclear power in China Mainland, known as the “Red Roots” and the “Red Boat” of China Nuclear Power. Since the construction of the first nuclear power unit in China Mainland was started here on 20 March 1985, Qinshan Nuclear Power Base has committed himself to boosting the national industry in the development of nuclear power from scratch, from small to large and delivered an amazing accomplishment of 9 units with a total installed capacity of 6660Mwe and annual power generation of about 52 billion kWh. Qinshan Nuclear Power Base has been hailed as the most vigorous Nuclear Power Base in China in terms of the number of units, reactor types and honored as the “Glory of the Nation”.

Over the construction and development for more 3 decades, Qinshan Nuclear Power Base has ushered in a road to nuclear power development with Chinese characteristics and cultivated a team of professionals skilled in multi-unit operations and management. Among the 15 specialty technology and talent platforms, 1 passed China Metrology Accreditation (CMA), and the others are 3 CNSA laboratories, 1 provincial academician workstation, 1 high-tech research and development center, 1 corporate engineering research center and 1 national skill master workshop. A fully-fledged set of management system and guarantee system for safe production run has taken shape in Qinshan Nuclear Power Base in light of 775 patent licenses and 85 issued standards. As a high-tech enterprise in Zhejiang, Qinshan Nuclear Power Base won the Chinese Patent Award of Excellence and the China Standards Innovation and Contribution Award respectively for the first time in 2022, indicating that Qinshan Nuclear Power Base is an important window to show the second startup of China nuclear industry and the safe and innovative development of the same.
