上海核工程研究设计院股份有限公司（简称“上海核工院”）始建于1970年2月8日，前身是“七二八工程研究设计院”，与我国核电同时起步，由国家电投控股。2019年8月，国家电投整合核电研发、设计、工程管理及寿期服务等相关资源，组建核能技术创新与工程建设平台，以上海核工院为“研发+AE”主体，吸收合并国核工程。新上海核工院是国内唯一具有全核岛（全结构、全系统、全主设备）研发、设计、采购、建造、调试等完整产业链的创新研发单位，统筹协调推进核能技术研发、运用推广及产业链协同发展，牵头实施核能研发课题与任务，负责工程总承包，全力打造世界一流核能成套技术开发商和核工程整体解决方案提供商。

 Founded on February 8, 1970, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. (SNERDI) is a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC). On August 9, 2019, SNERDI merged with State Nuclear Power Engineering Company (SNPEC) and became the nuclear technology innovation and project construction platform of SPIC. Since then, SNERDI and SNPTC have been working under an integrated system with “the same headquarters and two brands”. As the first design institute in China that is capable of designing and developing a whole nuclear power plant (NPP), SNERDI boasts excellent capabilities in terms of the development, deployment and promotion of advanced nuclear technology, EPCS contracting and specialized management with full-life technical support for nuclear projects.
