核工业第八研究所（以下简称中核八所）创立于1963年5月，位于素有“科技卫星之城”美誉的上海市嘉定区，占地约120亩，员工250余人。历经近60年的发展，中核八所先后研制出各种型号的专用过滤膜材料，并参研多种型号专用设备，为解决“两弹一艇”生产制造的关键技术问题做出了重大贡献，为我国建立完备的核工业体系做出了重要贡献。

Founded in May 1963, the Eighth Research Institute of Nuclear Industry (ERINI) is located in Jiading District, a Satellite town for Science & Technology in Shanghai, China. The institute covers an area of 860,000 square feet, having a group of more than 250 professionals. With a sixty-year history, ERINI has developed different types of functional membrane filters, participated research for multiple models of specific equipment, and provided key technical solutions for developing and manufacturing A-bomb, H-bomb and nuclear-powered submarine, contributing substantially to a completely self-sustained national nuclear industry in China.

改革开放以来，中核八所积极投身于社会主义市场经济大浪潮，先后研制出粉末冶金材料、电子浆料、过滤材料及装置、复合材料技术及制品等一系列产品，成立了肯纳司太立有限公司、上海宝银电子材料有限公司、上海一鸣过滤技术有限公司等市场化主体，产品与技术在国内相关行业处于领先地位，形成了多元化经营的产业布局。

Starting from the Reform and Opening-up in China, ERINI has launched to commercial business under China’s socialist market-oriented economic policy, developed a series of products such as powder metallurgy materials, electronic pastes, filtering materials, and functional composite materials and products. ERINI has founded several market-oriented entities such as Kennametal Stellite (Shanghai) Co.Ltd., Shanghai Baoyin Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Yiming Filtering Technology Co., Ltd., with its products and techniques taking the lead in domestic market, formed a diversified business strategy and industrial layout.

中核八所累计获得国家技术发明一等奖、国家科技进步二、三等奖、中核集团科技进步一、二、三等奖等近百项荣誉，累计获得发明专利授权上百项，拥有上海工匠、政府特贴、中核浦原首席专家等高级专业技术人员。先后通过质量、环境、职业健康、安全等管理体系认证，获得全国模范职工之家、上海市花园单位、上海市文明单位等荣誉。

ERINI has received nearly a hundred awards including the First Award for National Technological Invention, the Second and Third Awards for National Science Development, the First, Second and Third Awards for Science Development in China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), etc. ERINI also owns nearly a hundred of authorized patents for invention, contributed by a group of senior professionals and technicians, including Shanghai Master Craftsmen, Winners of China’s Special Government Allowance, and chief experts from CNNC Puyuan Co., etc. ERINI has passed Quality, Environmental, Professional Health and Safety Management System Certifications, awarded with several honors such as Family of the National Model Staff, Shanghai Garden Unit, and Credit Enterprise of Strictly Abides in Shanghai.

目前，中核八所正奋勇担当，开启第三次创业的新征程，在积极开拓民用市场的同时，也着力拓展现有优势技术和产品，如：复合材料技术及制品、防附着涂层、膜除氧装置、放射性废水膜处理装置、工业反渗透纯水系统、人工智能装备等在核电领域的应用，为中国核工业的高质量发展再立新功。

At present, ERINI is taking its responsibility with enormous courage, starting a new journey to the third entrepreneurship, and exploring commercial market while advancing its superior techniques and supplies, such as composite materials technologies and products, anti-fouling coatings, membrane deaerators, membrane devices for nuclear wastewater treatment, industrial reverse osmosis water purification system and artificial intelligence equipment with their applications in nuclear energy industry. With all these, ERINI is making new contributions to a high-quality development of China’s nuclear industry.
