上海仪器仪表自控系统检验测试所有限公司（SITIIAS）原为上海工业自动化仪表研究院有限公司(SIPAI)的分所，始建于1960年，于2003年成为独立注册的法人机构。SIPAI始建于1956年，是原机械工业部一类科研院所，在工业自动化仪表及系统产品的技术研究、质量检测、行业服务与标准化管理等方面有着悠久的历史和卓越的业绩。

经过近60年的建设和发展，SITIIAS建立了温度、流量、压力、测力、液位、阀门、执行器、长度、电磁、时间频率等专业试验室，也建立了防爆安全、电磁兼容、电气安全、气候环境、机械环境等共性试验室，具备可靠性、功能安全、软件测试、信息安全等技术研究、试验和评估能力，以及工程项目防爆安全检查、评价、验收、监理等技术能力。SITIIAS专业从事仪器仪表、电工电子、电气设备、工控系统等产品的检测、校准、评估与认证；工程项目检查、评价、验收、监理；试验设备研发和标准化归口服务等技术工作，技术服务涉及航空航天、海洋船舶、石油化工、节能环保、智能制造、新能源、核电站、汽车电子、信息技术、医疗器械、家用电器等领域，是专业、独立、综合的第三方技术机构。

Shanghai Inspection and Testing Institute of Instruments and Automation Systems (hereinafter referred to as SITIIAS) was founded in 1960 as a subordinate establishment of Shanghai Institute of Process Automation Instrumentation (hereinafter referred to as SIPAI) and registered as an independent corporation in 2003. SIPAI was founded in 1956, belonging to the first class of scientific research institutes under the former Ministry of Machinery Industry. It has a long history and outstanding performance in technology research, quality inspection, trade service, standardization management etc. of industrial-process measurement and control instruments and systems.

SITIIAS has also established universality laboratories for explosion protection and safety, electromagnetic compatibility, electrical safety, climate environment, mechanical environment, which have the technical research, testing and evaluation capabilities of reliability, function safety, software testing, information security as well as the technical capability of explosion protection and safety, evaluation, inspection, supervision of engineering project.
