GIFEN, committed to the nuclear industry.

Created in 2018 with the ambition of uniting the entire French nuclear industry into a single professional association, GIFEN brings together companies operating nuclear facilities, large companies, mid-size companies, SMEs, VSEs, professional organisations and associations, covering all types of industrial activities (studies, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, etc.) as well as all areas of nuclear power generation (fuel cycle, research, power generation, equipment manufacturing, decommissioning, etc.)

GIFEN acts as the mouthpiece for the French nuclear industry, which is composed of 3000 companies and counts 220,000 jobs, and represents the common interests of its members, both in France and abroad. Its mission are  to represent all the sector’s manufacturers in their dealings with government authorities and administrations, and in their dealings with organizations addressing issues relating to the nuclear industry in France, in Europe and beyond (including decommissioning activities). GIFEN carries out cross-cutting projects to support the industry, in particular to promote the development of its members’ activities in France and overseas (exhibitions, trade shows, etc.).

GIFEN is therefore a key driver in the industry’s transformation, which is already well underway, and is fostering the objective of excellence sought by all. GIFEN is looking forward to several major projects in the areas of: competencies and training, nuclear safety, innovation and R&D, digital transformation, strategy and economic development.
