The China International Nuclear Fusion Energy Program Execution Center, which was established in October 2008, is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. It is primarily responsible for managing China's participation in the ITER Project, undertaking the organization and implementation of China's ITER Project initiatives, and advancing the development of fusion energy science and technology in China. As the ITER domestic agency in China, it assists the Chinese government in participating in the management of the ITER Organization, facilitates the implementation of the ITER Project, fulfills China's commitments in terms of in-kind contributions, and organizes domestic organizations to undertake manufacturing tasks and experimental development after the completion of the device. It undertakes the specialized management of national magnetic confinement fusion research and development projects, conducts research on national strategies and plans for fusion energy development, coordinates the advancement of related international and domestic tasks, promotes the establishment of scientific research and engineering technical teams, and manages and utilizes ITER Project’s outcomes, standards, intellectual property and so on.

中国国际核聚变能源计划执行中心（以下简称核聚变中心）于 2008 年 10 月挂牌成立，是国家科技部的直属事业单位，主要从事我国参加国际热核聚变实验堆（ITER）计划的事务性工作，承担我国 ITER 计划专项的组织实施，推动我国核聚变能源科技发展。协助政府参与 ITER 组织管理，作为国内机构参与 ITER 计划实施，履行我国承诺的实物贡献，组织国内单位承担制造任务及装置建成后的实验开发；承担国家磁约束核聚变研发项目专业化管理工作；开展国家核聚变能源发展战略及规划研究，统筹推进相关国际和国内任务，协调推动相关科学研究和工程技术队伍建设；管理利用 ITER 计划成果、标准和知识产权等。
